John purchased Ag Service Associates in January of 2007 after working within the business throughout 2006. John has been actively involved in agriculture in many ways during his career. Following college he started and managed an agronomic consulting firm based in Holdrege from 1992-1998. In 1998 he joined a major seed company as as agronomist where he supported a sales team and worked extensively with end use markets such as Frito-Lay and the ethanol industry. He will encourage concepts of incorporating crop insurance, agronomics and total risk management packages obtained through his agri-business experience. He is married to Michelle, a 2nd grade teacher in the Holdrege school system. They have two children - a daughter Bailey and a son Brennan. John and Michelle are life long residents of Phelps County and plan on supporting the agricultural community for many years to come.
